Holland for a week

Dave Holland at Birmingham Conservatoire
hollandforaweek

Jazz bassist Dave Holland is at the Birmingham Conservatoire from the 8th to the 12th of March, 2010 for his annual residency.

Who's Dave Holland?
You may know him from Miles Davis's albums Bitches Brew and In A Silent Way - or perhaps from his work as a leader on ECM, and countless other collaborations with the jazz (and rock) greats of the past 50 years.

Here's the full bio.

We've given handheld, digital video cameras to the Conservatoire students and we'll be posting the results here as it all happens, so that you can witness the week of jazz, education and university life through their eyes.

Holland For A Week is a project of the Birmingham Centre For Media and Cultural Research.
